NOLA

Jazz Fest 2015 was my first NOLA experience and will definitely not be my last. In fact, I am hoping to make this an annual tradition. The food, music, and people were unlike anything I have ever experienced. From Gospel to Rock to local Beignets at Cafe Du Monde to my all-time college favorite Raising Cane's Chicken, everything was ON POINT.

Outfits were tough for this as I have never been to a music festival. I had two ideas: overalls and a vintange cowgirl-esque skirt. Naturally, my first inclination for the skirt was Etsy and came across this vintage skirt within a few days, YES DONE. Decided Keds were the best way to go (although I rarely buy name-brand, H&M and Forever21 have tons of colors and are way cheaper, perfect for occasions like this). Instead of pairing the red floral skirt with the go-to white or black, I opted for a monochrome look- picked up the top from TopShop. Perfect crop while still being classy with a high neckline, my fav. Now for the overalls. I fell in love with these at Zara because instead of the traditional snap/lock they had ties which I thought was fabulous. Again, Keds were the only way to go but wanted to add a little extra so paired with some socks (current obsession). I knew the humidity would be brutal so a loose nude tank was perfect. Add some flashy mirrored glasses and you have another perfectly balanced act of fashion! Drunken bathroom selfies naturally ensued.
