One of the best things about NYC is that something extraordinary is happening at any given moment. No matter what your interests are or what borough you live in, there is always something new to see or do. I spend a decent amount of time trying to find public fashion previews, exhibits, talks from big industry players, sample sales, etc. If you put in the time and effort- this really is the city where dreams come true.
Kirna Zabete is a designer boutique in Soho offering a wide-range of all-that-is-fun-in-fashion labels. Every piece in the store is full of color and character- it's like a playground for the fashion community. Of course I could not afford anything in the store except a few postcards I saw near the cash-registers, but I still wanted to get a glimpse of their first in-house line on display tonight. Delicious watermelon cocktails were provided and I happily grabbed one and aimlessly walked around the store dreaming of one day being able to purchase something.
Ever since a young girl I have loved walking around shops and touching the garments and fantasizing about how I would style and treat each piece. Fashion is truly my biggest and oldest love affair.
Due to the fun candy motif of Kirna Zabete, I needed and equally fun outfit. I love color so this was pretty easy for me and added a little edge with my socks. Such a fabulous NYC fashion moment.
